Amare

Amare is the cultural hub of The Hague. The brand new building houses four renowned organizations: Nederlands Dans Theater, Residentie Orkest, Royal Conservatory and the former Zuiderstrandtheater. There are also two restaurants, a conference center, studios, classrooms and many indoor public spaces in the sustainable building. In 2021, the seven-story education and culture building Amare was completed in the heart of The Hague.

Cultuurhuis Amare

Interior design was in the hands of four architectural firms: Brunn Design, JCAU, Noahh and Studio Aziz Bekkaoui. Under the guidance of project management firm Drees & Sommer, the Municipality of The Hague issued the tender for the loose furniture, which focused on sustainability.

After awarding the European tender to InteriorWorks, an internal team was assembled. To make the project run as smoothly as possible, we divided it into four phases. In the first phase, products, materials, colors and prices are determined.

Realization

In the third phase, we moved on to realization. The entire project had to be delivered within three months and in six phases. To streamline this as much as possible, the products were first delivered to our warehouse and then delivered to the customer in phases. The InteriorWorks installation team was present at each delivery.

During this phase, we were in the midst of an uncertain world due to various coronagraphs. Delayed deliveries were communicated in a timely manner and we provided temporary furniture for some of the furniture that could not be delivered as scheduled.

The furniture that could not be delivered in the agreed phase we were able to store last minute in our warehouse and deliver later. Thanks to this flexibility, the final delivery date at the end of 2021 was met.

Reinasan

Companies want to enjoy their furniture for as long as possible. By maintaining furniture properly, you extend its lifespan and ensure a presentable appearance. Amare has also made use of our sustainable maintenance treatment with Reinasan. After the furniture of one of the restaurants, the City Canteen, was put into use, it was so soiled by frequent use that the Culture House sought a solution.

Working with our partner Reinasan, we offered deep cleaning and then protection of the furniture. A combination of the two ensures that both visible and invisible dirt is actively broken down and easily removed with a corresponding maintenance product. Read more about how Reinasan works. here.
