Knoll introduced the Cesca Chair in 1968 after acquiring the Gavina Group, an Italian furniture manufacturer that represented the designs of legendary architect Marcel Breuer. Inspired by Bauhaus principles and the designer's revolutionary material innovations, the simple yet striking design still appeals as much as it did more than 90 years ago.
