Booking.com wanted to offer a wide variety of types of (work) spaces, think of spaces with workstations, open and closed meeting rooms, restaurants, fine coffee bars and "connector spaces," spaces where people can retreat to enjoy the view or get moving. Realizing the design is a huge task and that's where InteriorWorks comes in. This diversity of styles and the wide variety of furniture was the most fun, but also the biggest challenge.
The chairs, tables, whiteboards and all other furniture delivered are now in their proper places within the campus. Through our 20 years of experience as furniture specialists, we provided advice on the selected furniture in terms of durability and technical specifications, where necessary we quickly offered alternatives. We were able to realize the design and the interior architects' wishes through our flexible attitude, tight planning and communication with 110 different brands and the logistics partners. With a lead time of six months, all products were ordered by room, called according to LEAN planning and delivered complete in 138 deliveries. All furniture for each room was arranged according to floor plan drawing, as envisioned by the interior designer. We were able to accomplish this through the good relationships between our team of project managers and our suppliers in the early stages of this project.
