Description of HAY Revolt

The HAY Revolt chair is an iconic piece of Dutch design, originally designed by Friso Kramer in the 1950s as one of the first truly mass-produced pieces of furniture. Inspired by the philosophy of ‘form follows function,’ the design is light, slender and sturdy - filling the space without being overpowering. Instead of a traditional tubular frame, the chair has a curved sheet metal frame, providing added strength and distinctive style. The HAY Revolt's ergonomic design moves with the user, providing active support while working, eating or sitting at conferences. The seat shell is made of recycled ABS, while the base is powder-coated steel - durable materials befitting the reissue of HAY. The chair is available in nine seat and back colors and three frame colors, making it endlessly compatible for home, office and public spaces.
