MDD New School

The MDD New School Stool is a fresh reinterpretation of the classic school chair, now translated into a bar stool that belongs in almost any setting. Designed by renowned Swedish design studio Form Us With Love, the chair combines a strong steel frame with a seat and back made of molded plywood or upholstered upholstery - materials that are both inviting and long-lasting.

The chair is available in two seat heights: one tailored to kitchen bars and one to higher bar tables, making it flexible for use in canteens, cafes, restaurants and kitchens. A notable detail is the integrated footrest, which adds comfort during prolonged use. The chair comes fully assembled and is stackable up to five pieces, making it ideal for spaces where versatility and efficient storage are considerations.

The plywood comes from FSC- and PEFC-certified producers, and the steel frame profiles are powder-coated, a process that produces significantly lower emissions of volatile organic compounds than conventional painting techniques. In addition, MDD has produced an official Environmental Product Declaration for the entire New School collection - a transparent Type III EPD certification that provides insight into the full life cycle of the product.
